In the historic heart of Milan, the Beefbar restaurant has taken over the chapel of the former archbishop’s seminary. Beneath a spectacularly high nave punctuated by dramatically sober vaulted ceilings, the open kitchen, bar and restaurant are seamlessly connected.
All areas are united by the terrazzo floor in shades of green, black, white and burgundy with a stylized wave pattern – a tribute to the architect Luigi Caccia Dominioni. The half-height wood paneling is theatrically decorated, triptych chandeliers by designer Ignazio Gardella and an eclectic collection of artworks in various styles adorn the room.
The Verde Alpi marble tables are by Vico Magistretti and lend the room a similar elegance to the bronze and frosted glass lamps designed by Humbert & Poyet. The interior of the Beefbar – that much is clear – takes Milan’s creative DNA of opera, fashion and design to the next level with its furnishings.
The Rumore bar is located right next to the Italian restaurant
