The former “The Bank” restaurant in the ground floor of Vienna’s Park Hyatt was recently re-opened as a brasserie and bar with a new concept and a newly designed interior.
The design of the bar area, designed by the Dutch studio FG Stijl that also is responsible for the rest of the hotel, picks up the historic context of the former service hall and turns it into a contemporary, cozy leisure zone due to the selection of dark wood, leather and copper material.
Original, historic art-nouveau lamps underline this approach.
Original murals from the Wilhelminian time were discovered under the white color of the eight meter high ceiling in the hall and carefully restored.
