Architectural recycling: Not long ago this building was a deteriorated storage space. Now its hosts some of Rigas trendy bars and an equally attractive restaurant, which is typical for the rise of the former harbor quarter Andrejsala at the Daugava river. Projects such as the Koya were enabled by the local government which recognized the addes value of revamping this attractive location.
Special Tips
The terrace is framed and protected by glass and is the heart of the project. Traces of the old storage space can be found everywhere, such as in the old brick walls. The roof covered in old floor boards make for a bizarre contrast to the concrete floor.
