The Café Moskau, an iconic GDR building, built between 1961 and 1964, has always been a party location. The night bar in the basement had a Russian ambience; after the fall of the Iron Curtain it became a legendary party site. In recent years, the event location was rarely used. Architects and designers of studio karhard have now revamped and restructured the space, equipped it with stylish furniture and turned it into the Avenue Club. Custom-designed seating arrangements, a concrete bar, a mobile metal wall and intriguing light objects set the stage for long party nights.
