Elegance meets retro chic: Japanese restaurant Uchi locates the latter in late modernist Milan and welcomes its guests from the moment they step inside with Vico Magistretti’s “Grande Mania” wall lamp, an Artemide classic from the 1960s.
Further into the restaurant, design aficionados will discover ten iconic “Model 121” chairs by Tobia & Afra Scarpa, designed in 1965 for Cassina. In a family atmosphere, chef Ciprian Porumbacean experiments with classic and modern interpretations of sushi, complementing this ingenious design with equally ingenious cuisine.
Rosewood refines the bar surfaces and tables, while Brazilian stone lends character and depth to the ambience.
