The interior design of this hotel that is part of the Firmdale hotel group is very British. By now the group already has eight hotels in London and two in New York. Chief designer Kit Kemp, who is also co-owner of Firmdale Hotels, designed each of the 86 rooms and suites individually with a lot of attention to detail. A charming mix of patterns, colors and textures is typical for Kemp’s modern English interior style.

Patterned fabrics are used as curtains and dress the differently shaped bed heads in the hotel rooms. The bathrooms of marble and granite are very elegant.  Besides the obligatory combination of restaurant and bar, the hotel also features an orangerie, a salon with fireplace, a fitness area and its own cinema that seats 130 people on leather chairs.

Architecture

The Whitby Suite is especially stylish. It spreads across the top floor of the hotel and awaits guests with two bedrooms, a living area and two terraces.
