The building in the heart of Chicago is known as The Holländer was once a fire protection warehouse. And also nowadays, with the casual The Robey Hall residing in the extensively renovated complex, the building is a landmark for Chicago’s industrial culture.

Hence the guests of the younger and hipper sister of The Robben Hotel are greeted with minimalistic industrial charm. With 3.30 meter high ceilings, exposed brick walls and shiny concrete floors, the 20 rooms remind of a cool loft.

But there is also a soft side behind the rough facade: in the shape of contemporary American cuisine in the Café Robey, the sundowner-cocktails in the Up & Up or the Latin-American meals in the Cabana Club.

The Robey Hall is located in the hip Wicker Park neighborhood, Chicago’s best area to shop and go out.
