The Japanese Restaurant in The Chedi Andermatt is certainly one of the best Japanese restaurants in Switzerland and was awarded a Michelin star as well as 16 Gault Millau-points. Since December 2019, star chef Dietmar Sawyere tops his restaurant with a new Japanese gourmet restaurant – that mainly applies to the location as The Japanese by The Chedi Andermatt lies 2,300 meters high on Andermatt’s Gütsch mountain.

Besides culinary highlights and a grand view of the Gotthard as well as the Ursern valley, guests can enjoy a rustic modern atmosphere. Steamed and rough pine wood creates coziness while the bar of massive stone seems to stem right from the surrounding mountains. The fireplace with its rough stone foundation and white steel chimney that elegantly disappears between the ceiling beams is a real eye-catcher.

Without a doubt the highest up Japanese restaurant in Switzerland!
