The name of the restaurant marks a milestone of the automotive history: The Cord 810/812 of 1937 was one of the most innovative cars of its time, which even back then reduced air resistance and fuel consumption due to its streamlined design. However, the car did not only give the name, the classic car is also on exhibit in the restaurant so that old-timer fans will likely come by for more than dinner.

The restaurant follows the fine dining concept by Michelin Star chef Thomas Kammeier that focuses on sharing the different courses. It offers a great selection of meats besides seafood and fish. Fish and seafood are preferably prepared on a lava grill, while a special Beefer, which caramelizes the beef with small ceramic pyramids in the inside of the grill, is used for the fine meats.  But there is also a generous selection for vegetarians that can be combined for a fish and meat free menu.

The interior feels just as modern as inviting. A harmonious color scheme strengthens the pleasant atmosphere and presents dark brown as well as shiny gold as color highlights. The whole thing is lightened with construction drawings on the walls, which-not surprisingly- show the design development of the Cord 810/812.

Welcome to the future: The Cord is located on the innovative EUREF-Campus in the Schöneberg district
