In 2023, the completely redesigned luxury boutique hotel The Amauris Vienna opened and has since expanded the exclusive circle of Vienna’s Ringstrasse hotels in a privileged location between the Musikverein and the Vienna State Opera.
62 exclusive units, 17 of which are suites, represent different categories. The real balancing act was to preserve the architectural charm of a historic Ringstrasse building while at the same time combining it with modern exclusivity.
The finest Italian marble and historic stucco emphasize the special characteristics of the palace, which was built in 1861. All of the room doors are made of 150 kilograms of marble.
A total of 160 tons of marble were used throughout the building – from Carrara Bianco, Calacatta and Calacatta Viola to Verde Guatemala, Nero Marquina and Rosso Levanto, an exclusive selection was used.
A staircase in the lobby area provides an impressive overview. And lo and behold: each step is made of one of the types of marble used.
Gourmet restaurant as well as bistro & bar Glasswing offer innovative dishes that pay homage to Vienna – but the real treats here are paintings from the era of Ringstrasse construction
