The Straubinger Grand Hotel in Bad Gastein shows its timeless character in an environment spoiled by nature. Situated directly next to a waterfall, the elegantly opulent entrance on Straubingerplatz grants access to a place that tells momentous stories – while always retaining its little secrets.
The 1840 building was carefully overhauled and reopened in 2023. The patina points to a long history without giving away any details. Each room tells anecdotes, for example the junior suites with their different panoramic views. The mysterious stories of earlier guests become a new narrative here – whether on the comfortable armchair, in the partly free-standing bathtub, or in the shower.
From the spa’s outdoor infinity pool, the view extends to the Gastein valley and the roaring water
