Berlin’s new go-to restaurant was opened in the Holdheimshof, a Wilhelminian industrial site, built around 1910 by Hugo Sonnenthal for Wilhelm Holdheim’s metal working factory. Interior designer Karolina Preis filled the rooms with a lot of love for detail. Most of the furniture was custom-designed by her and produced by small manufactures, working with premium, honest materials that age well and develop a pleasant patina.
The custome made furnishings are combined with antiques and vintage pieces from different eras, such as a chest from the 18th century, bar stools from the 50s and a brass lamp from the 70s.
