One hundred meters above ground level runs The Link, a horizontal connection between two skyscrapers and also part of the five-star One Za’abeel hotel, which belongs to the One&Only hotel group. Here, the extremely trendy Sphere Bar conveys a touch of extraterrestrial city feeling. “The curved, smoky-tinted, reflective metals that form the structure of the bar were chosen to reflect the city and the night sky,” says Stephan Brutti of Social F+B by Design, describing the bar designed by his firm.
Embedded in the resort’s impressive architecture, this interior invites guests on an intergalactic journey inspired by the shapes and structures of our galaxy, but also by the microcosm of raindrops, whose reflective essence has been deliberately captured. Speaking of essence: the mixologists working their magic here are not only masters of their craft, but also equipped with state-of-the-art equipment. One&Only uses the term “mixology lab” to describe this.
The smart elegant dress code was to be expected at this address. The age limit, perhaps not: in what is probably Dubai’s coolest bar, it is 21 years.
