“We thought it was boring that all bars currently the same vintage concept” says Dustin Render. When he and his business partner The Ahn created the concept for their stylish Berlin bar, they wanted to go beyond avoiding this. They also wanted to capture the Zeitgeist and prove that a mix of wonderful drinks, stylish location and good music does not have to be formal.

Sharlie Chern’s trinity goes like this: the menu with ambitious cocktails as the “Goodbye, Motherfucker” tell the story of the fictitious playboy Sharlie Cheen. The bartender likes to mix gin with basil or cooks raspberries and thyme into a syrup. The ceiling features geometric tape art in three-dimensional look made of 1,000 hexagonal honeycombs. All this is topped with loud deep house music.

Charlie Cheen and host “Sorry Mama” celebrate Day Parties, an idea originating from New York and featuring brunch and party, on selected Saturdays.
