With the opening of the Schwan Locke in Munich, the British Aparthotel brand Locke is also present on the European continent since July 2021. The term Aparthotel refers to the home-meets-hotel concept of the brand that combines comfort and design of a boutique hotel with the space and the flexibility of an apartment.
Only a few walking minutes away from the Theresienwiese, the Schwan Locke features 151 studio apartments that are much more spacious than a typical hotel room and offer fully equipped kitchens as well as living and dining areas. Beyond that, guests can use a co-working space, a fitness center, a coffee shop, a shopping area and a cocktail bar.
The interior design by interior design studio Fettle was inspired by the “Deutsche Werkbund” that was founded in Munich in 1907. Accordingly, the apartments were endowed functionally and without any frills. Curtom made furniture further meet the criteria regarding aesthetically and premium furnishings of the Werkbund. The whole thing is rounded off with a classic color palette as well as a great art collection.
