Because of its many skyscrapers, Frankfurt is fondly called “Mainhattan” by locals. Now the city also has a bit of a Brooklyn feel: The rooftop bar on the 6th floor of the Ruby Louise hotel also offers stunning views of Frankfurt’s skyscrapers for its sundowners.

Drinking is done, illuminated by countless strings of lights, on vintage furniture and sun loungers between fruit trees. But the Ruby Louise is not only an enchanting place on the roof.

In the well-stocked bar, you can hang out in a Biedermeier ambience, the light-flooded rooms in “Lean Luxury Style” combine dark wood paneling and elegant decorative frames with street art, and if you’re overcome by the need for a jam session, you can also rent an electric guitar.

The hotel is named after Louise von Rothschild, whose family began building its financial empire in Frankfurt
