The hotel chain founded by Kike Sarasola opened its sixth hotel in Madrid eröffnet. The Room Mate Macarena with 130 rooms in five different categories was designed by interior designer Tomás Alía.
It is located in the iconic shopping street Gran Via, in a neoclassical 1947 building built by the architect Gutiérrez Soto that has been a part of the Spanish capital’s cultural DNA for a long time.
In the hotel, crafted details remind of that. They were contrasted with contemporary design and combined with a handmade arabesque decor by Tomás Alía, whereby the natural daylight contributes to the look.
The boutique hotel features a stunning lobby on the ninth floor as well as a wonderful terrace with panoramic view onto the stunning street. Beyond that, swimming pool, sun terrace and a cocktail bar delight guests.
The cocktail bar is a hip place for long summer nights
