The name of the Puls restaurant at Cologne’s Hotel Legend, as well as its design, is inspired by the city’s Roman history.
On the one hand, the name refers to a grain dish from Roman antiquity; on the other, the restaurant’s location next to the historic town hall is particularly striking, as it was on the site of the Roman provincial town of Oppidum Ubiorum.
Owner Daniel Gottschlich and Head Chef Johannes Langenstück, both from the two-Michelin-starred restaurant Ox & Klee, are responsible for the culinary direction of this modern and minimalist establishment.
The restaurant combines various, sometimes striking, design features and elements into a harmonious overall impression. Here, the past of Cologne’s city center meets the present of modernity.
