Miami’ s Museum Park in Downtown got a new addition in December 2013: Swiss architects Herzog & de Meuron created a building that reminds of a botanic garden with its hanging trees and lots of plants. On three different levels art lovers can explore over 1,800 works, among others by John Baldessari, Olafur Eliasson and Dan Flavin.
The museum is named after the connoisseur of Latin-American art Jorge M. Pérez, who donated 40 million dollars and part of his art collection.
