The restaurant close to the Esplanade park serves Filipino cuisine with a modern twist. For example: ox tongue with soy glaze and lemongrass Annattosauce or grilled eggplants with Hoisin-bbq-sauce and crunchy quinoa salad.
The design: warm and cozy, lots of wood, a stone floor, incredibly nice spiral lamp shades, rather dark colors that make conversations fee more intimate and the food on plates shine brighter.
While Findeko was commissioned to custom make the furniture, Paisano was responsible for the decorative elements. The painting were created by the chef himself.
The name of the restaurant has been derived from John Steinbeck’s novel “Tortilla Flat” – its pages were turned into a stunning pendant lamp.
