The Pageou in the Fünf Höfe enriches Munich’s gourmet scene since October 2014.  Culinarily spoiled guests can enjoy a modern and cosmopolitan here that combines premium regional products with exotic and oriental influences. Since November 2021, the restaurant lead by top chef Ali Güngörmüş shows itself in a new look.

For the new Pageou, interior designer Nora Witzigmann decided for an open, inviting and timeless interior. “Good craftsmanship in wood, leather and nice fabrics meets clear shapes” is how she summarizes her concept.  Black-and-shite contrasts especially visible in the black stained oak parquet and the white walls dominate. Matching that: 34 steel cantilever chairs of the iconic model S 64 in the version black with natural colored cane work.

The chair designed in 1928 by Marcel Breuer and produced by Thonet perfectly integrates itself into the interior design and beyond that also delights the host: “I love this furniture” admits Ali Güngörmüş. “And I know that they will accompany for the rest of my life. Their cane work is timeless and beautiful. And the chairs are so comfortable that my guests will still feel comfy after many hours.”

Pageou is the name of the Eastern-Anatolian village in which Ali Güngörmüş was born
