From the outside, you could easily mistake the lobby of the new Motel One in Rotterdam for the showroom of a premium furniture retailer. The selection includes many icons of modern design – from Jacobsen’s “Egg Chair” and Ingo Maurer’s “Zettel’z” chandelier to the designs created by Doshi & Levien for Moroso. The view of the old town, the generous spatial effect and the high standard of the rest of the furnishings are of a similarly high quality.
The color scheme has long been an integral part of Motel One: shades of grey are accentuated with turquoise nuances, creating a timeless combination
