Super centrally located in the heart of the Golden Triangle and right next to the Prado, the Hotel Montera Madrid has now been added to the exclusive portfolio of the Curio Collection by Hilton.
Interior designer Lázaro Rosa-Violán was inspired by the eclectic character of the area and reinterpreted typical Catalan style elements in an exciting new way: the rounded mirrors and picture frames as well as the delicate decorations on the headboards of the beds allude to the old Spanish decorative style.
The completely renovated neoclassical building from 1924 now has 93 rooms, including eight suites – and a rooftop pool with spectacular views.
The street name Montera refers to the former production of traditional hats. Allusions to this traditional costume can be found in numerous details – from door handles to the hotel uniform.
