This is not a restaurant in the classic sense–but for Mallorca insiders the place to eat. Mercat 1930 is Palma’s hippest food court, a market hall for gourmets.
The building in which it is located was formerly a fashionable hotel directly by the sea.
It received its current Art-déco look twenty years later by Majorcan architect Francesc Roca Simó. The interior was designed as a premium gastronomic hall with long tables.
