Hamburg’s design studio JOI-Design was inspired by Frankfurt’s history of literature, the printing industry and the famous Frankfurt Book Fair when designing the Marriott Airport.

Throughout the house, design quotes refer to the central theme, such as with large letters in rugs in the hallways or literal elements on the walls.

The 233 rooms are kept in subtle shades of grey, black and brown. With a mix of low and high contrast lighting, the light design creates a cozy atmosphere in the home away from home.

Besides typography prints, bookworms can find library elements with a book collection that has been curated for the hotel in the lobby
