Located directly at the shore of the stunning Lake Lucerne, with a view of the impressive Swiss Alps and in close proximity to Lucerne’s historic city center – that is what you call a prime location! A hotel built in 1906 by Swiss entrepreneur Franz Josef Bucherer was elaborately renovated for the luxurious Mandarin Oriental Palace and opened in September 2022.
The historic house – originally designed as a Mediterranean retreat – is still considered a landmark of the Belle Époque today. Inspired by history, rooms and suites of the newly designed hotel are kept in a Mediterranean color scheme, while the formidable Salon Alpine features original decor elements.
