See the crisis as a chance – that is exactly what the owners of the Le Canard Nouveau and star architect Meinhard von Gerkan as well as director Annika Stoldt did after the restaurant had to be closed after a fire in June 2018. A year later the place opened again after a thorough renovation and with a new chef. The interior was developed by von Gerkan . The simple and elegant ambience celebrates the beauty of simplicity, just as the Hanseatic understatement requires. The guest rooms of the semi-circular building orient themselves as the bow of a ship to enable the panorama of the harbor.
