A house with a great history meets a host with a passion: Landhaus Stricker on Sylt, owned by star chef Holger Bodendorf, is like an island on the island – and has just undergone extensive renovation. Bodendorf took over the house back after the turn of the millennium and turned it into a charming five-star accommodation with a star restaurant. More than 20 years later, the hotel opened its doors again – with even more comfort and sustainable luxury. A modern design and color concept has moved into the 38 rooms and suites.

High-quality materials and sustainability are particularly close to the host’s heart. For example, the mattresses are made of recycled fishing nets with barrel springs and, according to Bodendorf, offer “outstanding sleeping comfort.” For the interior, the hotel also relies on top-class brands – first and foremost JAB Anstötz for curtain fabrics, folding blinds and carpets, and BW Bielefelder Werkstätten and ipdesign for furniture and home accessories.

The color palette ranges from muted earth tones to fresh shades of green and crisp pink and rose tones. Holger Bodendorf wants to surprise guests and inspire them with his taste. With the new interiors, he certainly succeeds.
