Behind the façade of a mansion at 8 Rue d’Anjou, where the legendary General La Fayette spent the last years of his life, lies the 400-square-meter restaurant of French top chef Mory Sacko. Spanish interior designer Lázaro Rosa-Violán was keen to preserve the authenticity of this historic location: historical elements were restored and placed alongside individually designed pieces, such as an 18th-century Aubusson tapestry and contemporary chairs called “Macaron.” The restaurant’s interior design is complemented by a collection of antique furniture and decorative objects.
In keeping with the restaurant’s historical feel, the aesthetics of the staff uniforms, with ruffled collars and brooches, are also based on the extravagant era of the late 18th century.
