As Budapest’s first Neo-Rennaissance square, the Clark-Ádám square once wrote history. Formerly, the legendary Bank of Buda was located here. It was designed by Miklós Ybl, one of the most influential Hungarian architects of his generation, and completely ruined in WW II.
In 2018, the similarly exciting Hotel Clark opened on the long deserted square. It offers 86 rooms in four different categories, whereby the Deluxe rooms offer the most optimal onto the bridge and the St. Stephan Basilica. The saved Ybl column from the original building in the hall is an absolute eye catcher. Besides that a steel lyon head sculpture designed by Gábor Miklós Szőke as well as Fans Undgár’sn lamp model ‘Peak’ next to the entrance impress.
The Leo Budapest on the 8th floor of the hotel is considered as nicest rooftop bar in the city
