The landmarked building from 1886 has hosted many society groups along its history: Originally an orphanage for Catholic girls, the building was also an elderly home, homeless refuge and youth center. In the early 1990s, it was turned into a hotel and between 2013 and 2017 a new look.

Besides the restoration of the impressive chapel that now radiates with its former charm, the hotel was extended with a new wing and two transparent pavilions which host a restaurant and event studios. With its modern murals, the new wing perfectly its the brick architecture of the chapel. The new pavilions are harmoniously integrated into the original, never realized 19th Century symmetric floor plan of architect Adrianus Bleijs.

Natural light as well as a warm color and material theme create a cozy atmosphere in the interior. This is underlined by a carefully selected collection of vintage furniture as well as sustainable interior pieces.
