In 2015, after five years as chief confectioner in the legendary Noma, Rosio Sanchez decided to go back to her roots and to cook traditional Mexican food. In 2017 then, she started her first restaurant project in Copenhagen with the Sanchez. The Hija de Sanchez that opened in October 2020 is also a culinary ode to her motherland.
Tacos, Tostadas, Ceviches etc. are accompanied with an inviting and truly Mexican atmosphere. Not surprising as Copenhagen’s leading OEO Studio were inspired by Mexico’s architecture, craftsmanship and colors. Thoroughly selected interior pieces from Mexico assure an authentic flair while the finely composed color scheme with dominating red, blue and earth tones provide the finishing touches.
