The Häuser der Wiese (translates to houses of the meadow) are a very special extension of the Zirmerhof located high above South Tyrol’s Etschtal. The owner Sepp Perwanger commissioned the renowned Italian architect and designer Michele De Lucchi – who has been staying at this historic mountain hotel for years.

The buildings are two wooden houses, a minimalist maisonette and a roundish pavilion that are surrounded by meadows and focus completely on deceleration and nature; a refuge for those seeking quiet that is subtly embedded in the existing setting. The interior was mainly custom made for the houses and were all designed by De Lucchi.

“Two stylish sculptures in the landscape.” Michele De Lucchi
