Grand from the outside and fabulous from the inside – no doubt, the Gorgeous George deserves its name. Two historic buildings in the heart of downtown were restored for this project and turned into a unique hotel. The architects preserved the original aesthetic of the structures, for example the architrave and beams.
On the inside African and industrial elements complement each other for a unique ambience that feels both local and international. The rough, industrial part is softened by a subtle color scheme, while local designers and artists are present throughout the house with their work.
