The Frea is the first plant based, vegan zero waste restaurant in Berlin Mitte. Those committed to such culinary strictness cannot be loose when it comes to the interior. The fundamental design concept denies all animal products. Organic colors such as sand shades and light blue dominate in the friendly room. Vintage furniture such as an old iron shelf and a workroom dresser come from a real market and are being revived here. The special pride of the owners: the wonderful oak tables with individually designed frames produced of steel by a friend.
Those dining at the Free will not produce any garbage. All waist is converted into soil substitute with a compost machine that is delivered to farmers providing food to the restaurant.
