Set against the shimmering backdrop of the Baa Atoll UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, the newly transformed Landaa Estate redefines private island living. Expanded to over 800 square metres of indoor space and a sweeping 2,000 square metres outdoors, this reimagined sanctuary seamlessly merges striking design with barefoot luxury.
A fluid dialogue between architecture and nature informs every inch of the estate’s redesign. Clean white palettes mirror the powder-soft beach, while accents of teal, turquoise, and violet reflect the surrounding lagoon. Hand-carved coral-inspired screens offer a contemporary nod to Maldivian heritage, while curated pieces from Flexform, Paola Lenti, Gervasoni, Roda, and Kettal elevate the refined, relaxed aesthetic.
The four-bedroom layout—expanded with an additional king suite—encourages both togetherness and solitude. Indoor-outdoor living flows from a breezy pavilion to a rooftop terrace perfect for sunset reveries. A 20-metre lap pool, complete with a sunken lounge and cascading waterfall, stretches parallel to the estate’s 80-metre private beach, creating an irresistible axis of leisure.
Innovative features such as a weather-sensor outdoor pavilion and suspended beach swings invite guests to revel in the Biosphere’s beauty.
