A bit of Dallas, a bit of Palm Springs and a bit of Mailbu Beach – what sounds like the perfect mix of a relaxed US vacation, is what you get at the Ellery Beach House, located half an hour from Stockholms on the Lidingö island.
A 1960s building was the starting point. Its brick walls, steel beams and concrete walls were enhanced by a material mix of wood, marble and textiles in soft pastel shades.
For the desired living room feeling, it was essential to break up the linear building structure with curves – the shapes of the interior are flowing and organic. Baustruktur des Hauses bewusst durch Rundungen aufzubrechen – die Formen des Interieurs sind fließend und organisch.
Lived attention to detail: When it came to the custom made upholstery chairs, the team made sure that they did not turn out too hard.
