Soho House has landed in Brooklyn – and inhales the the creative scene south of the East River. This is reflected in New York’s third members club.

The interior of the club was planned by Soho House’s internal design team. The concept was inspired by the history of the area as well as the view onto the Brooklyn Bridge, the East River and lower Manhattan. An example: The blue color of the Manhattan Bridge is mirrored in the ceiling color, while the warm colors of the Brooklyn Bridge can be found in the stone tiles of the restaurant.

The interior reminds of artist’s workshops that were located in Brooklyn’s warehouses in the 60s and 70s . Vintage elements determine the look of the place. In the top floor, members have access to a pool with lounge chairs on the roof terrace as well as a separate sun deck to eat, drink and relax.

A piece of Dumbo artist Zoey Buchmann that shows a female body in vintage underwear, recently discovered photographies of Dumbo from the 70s by Steven Siegel as well as a drawing by British architect David Adjaye are part of the art collection.
