Peggy Strobel, the partner of award-winning chef Markus Mraz, has now ventured into the restaurant business herself.
With the Cafetière in a prime downtown location, she is reviving a coffee house from the late 1950s. An important aspect of the planning was to preserve the traditional ambiance and gently adapt it to current trends.
The artist Frank Maria, a friend of Lukas Mraz, was responsible for the ceiling design. In addition to classic coffees and sweets, the toast specialties “Karl-Heinz” and “Gerti” are a must-try.
Behind the café lies the design showroom Chamber by Anna Prinzhorn and Percy Thonet.
