The Japanese restaurant Mochi and all its branches have long been cult favorites in Vienna. Now, the owners are venturing into a new concept: the fusion of Italian and Japanese cuisine. Vienna’s Praterstraße, which is currently transforming into a blooming urban oasis thanks to green spaces and bike paths, is home to the new hotspot Cucina Itameshi.
The restaurant, specializing in fusion cuisine, is located in the Dogenhof, a listed Venetian-style apartment building erected in 1896. For the interior design, the two designers, Robin Molenaar and Yvonne Krisch, collaborated with the up-and-coming maker collective kriegerdworsky, subtle specialists in hospitality and interior solutions.
Many dishes are prepared over an open fire.
