The Konservatorium is one of these hotels that makes you go “wow” the moment you enter the lobby. The atrium consists of the brickwork of the music Konservatorium built at the end of the 19th century and a contemporary glass annex. Cozy lounge areas with design furniture invite to hang out in the lobby and enjoy the presence of the fantastic architecture.

The owners won minimalism maestro Piero Lissoni for the interior design. Many of his works, such as  the “Softwall” sofa for Living Divani, are present. But also local designs were integrated into the lounge area, among others the “Knotted Chair” by Dutch designer Marcel Wanders.

The hotel is located in the middle of Amsterdam’s museum district. Another architectural icon is right next door: the Stedelijk Museum.
