Seraina and Daniel Lauber, hosts of the Cervo, certainly are not resting on their laurels. Even though their Alpine resort, opened in 2009, is considered a standard regarding architecture and design in Zermatt’s hotel landscape, they reinvented their boutique hotel and started with a fresh look and a sustainable design concept into their second decade.
The new design is much more modern and combines a clear shape language with warm colors and natural materials for a contemporary interpretation of Alpine style. Rethinking also happened regarding sustainability modern, geothermal technology was installed so that almost 95% of the needed energy is covered by ground heat.
The updated Cervo also targets deceleration and mindfulness. Guests can enjoy century-old rituals and practices from all over the world in the newly designed Mountain Ashram Spa and therewith start a calm and relaxing trip towards a peace of mind.
