The roots of the concept of the Hotel Casa go back to the 50s when one enabled payable living space for students by renting out hotel rooms.
Amsterdam’s architectural studio Ninetynine renewed the common rooms of the building with the intention to create cozy as well functional social rooms for guests of the house.
Thereby they followed the eclecticism of student life – but on the highest aesthetic level.
The centrally positioned bar functions like kitchens at parties as a connection element of the different social areas. They serve coffee and cocktails or just a relaxed talk with the barista
