The opening of the legendary Hotel Baur by Austria’s Johannes Baur is long ago. Since 1844, royal celebrities like Sisi or famous artists like Marc Chagall have stayed here. The hotel has been run by the same family since six generations. Today, Andrea Kracht is in charge.

Recently, a restaurant which is a modern definition of a traditional European brasserie was opened and developed in collaboration with the Martin Brudnizki Design Studio. The main restaurant area is marked by a green and orange color palette that is complemented with materials such as wood, leather or brass and creates an overall aura of comfort.

The walls feature world class art, while custom made seats and sofas in the lounge of the bar promise highest level cozyness. Hence the modern brasserie is made for travelers who live in the now while still enjoying the feeling of dining in the past.

High gloss lacquer proved to be an effective tool to highlight architectural details such as the structure of the ceiling – with striking green or a mix of orange-yellow monitoring grid
