The hotel is located in the Steinenvorstadt, a car-free street south of the Rhine River and therewith in one of Basel’s most lively districts. Several restaurants, bars, boutiques as well as cultural sites wait to be discovered by curious visitors.
With its remarkable front, the building distinguishes itself from its surroundings. It is a modern structure of concrete, black marble and granite that certainly makes an architectural statement in the historic center. The step-like design of the back that creates generous terraces is also striking.
The interior is dominated by natural wood, stone and marble as well as elegant furniture by contemporary design brands. All over the house, one can admire street art from young artists. The Japanese touch is also special. It shapes the atmosphere of the rooms in the shape of Washi, the traditional Japanese paper.
