10,000 ancient camphor trees and houses from the Ming and Qing Dynasties are the irresistible ingredients of the Amanyangyun.

Business man Ma Dadong saved them in his home province Jiangxi from construction work and had them relocated to his new home town Shanghai.

Experts for antique Chinese architecture rebuilt the homes brick by brick in their new residence.

In the heart of the resort is Nan Shufang, the most spectacular of the ancient houses, named after the Forbidden City Library. Here you can not only admire the ancient architecture, but also enjoy calligraphy or Tai Chi workshops and tea ceremonies.
