The Ace Hotel Sydney, opened in May 2022, is the first hotel in the southern hemisphere of the brand with a high affinity for art, culture and music. Matching that, it is located in a brick building from 1916 in the middle of Surry Hills, one of the culturally most meaningful and liveliest districts of Sydney.
The interior, designed by Melbourne’s Flack Studio, is a homage to Australia – from the ocher red marble staircase in the lobby to the lounge in burned orange on the ground floor. The comfortable rooms endowed with custom made furniture and lamps also remind of the casual design that was popular in Australia’s cities in the 70s.
