The Ace Hotel Brooklyn is located in downtown Brooklyn and with that in the middle of New York’s art and culture cluster. The art theme accordingly is dominant, starting with the exhibited art pieces in the guest rooms to the hotel’s art galery and the interior design that was inspired by art studios of European Modernists.

Besides that, Le Corbusier’s legendary Tiny House Le Cabanon served as a archetype. Just as the role model, the rooms are furnished elegantly and efficiently with everything one requires and open all creative possibilities.  The furniture – among them custom made seats and chairs – are hand made from simple materials. The minimalist built-ins are reduced to the max and complete the appointments.

On the outside, a Brutalist facade marks the hotel’s appearance. Like the interior, it was also designed by New York’s studio Roman and Williams. The rough, edgy facade of metal, glass and concrete pieces is lightened up by a customized ceramic mural by the famous Modernist Stan Bitters as well as light installations by Roman and Williams.
