Located directly at Copenhagen’s harbor, the hotel 71 Nyhavn consist of two buildings, a red and a yellow former storehouse.
For the re-design of the 64 rooms, the past of the building and its industrial character were consciously integrated: The original stone and wood work were exposed in order to reflect the roughness of the old building.
The rooms were endowed with a fine selection of Danish design gems and feature natural materials such as oak, leather and raw iron. A true highlight is the sand blasted glass wall with a cast iron frame behind which the bathrooms are hidden.
Worth knowing: Leather suitcases serve as bedside tables. They stand for the original purpose of the house, trade and sales.
