This hotel location of the Waldorf Astoria Chain connects all of six (!) town houses built around the 17th/18th centruy in Amsterdam’s UNESCO’s world heritage site quarter. London specialists were comissioned to design the hotel and chose a safe route by chosing a timeless style. While focusing on respecting the historic surroundings, they did interweave contemporary elements. Ocher tones quote Vermeers art. Fine bed linens and soft textures of exquisite fabrics seem equally familiar. The views onto the canals and small gardens also feel like one is observing a painting.

The hotel pleases palates with its excellent restaurant that has been awarded two Michelin Stars. The nearby Peacock Alley is famous for its sandwiches.
